AURT

Hello
AURIONNA ALEXANDER
Photography has been a lifelong passion for her. She often says that the Tumblr era of 2011–2014 had a major influence on her creative perspective and visual style. When she was younger, she primarily took photos on her iPhone, which was her main medium for many years. During the pandemic and the height of the Black Lives Matter protests, she picked up her dad’s Canon Rebel T3i and began documenting protests through photography. Those experiences remain deeply meaningful to her and marked a significant turning point in her work. Through them, she grew more confident in herself, stepped outside of her comfort zone, and learned a great deal as both a person and photographer.

At the time, her photography primarily focused on street photography and documenting protests. Since then, her work has evolved to include creative photography and portraiture, allowing her to explore new artistic styles and forms of expression. She was born in Indiana and has lived in California since she was six years old. Outside of photography, she enjoys dogs, listening to music, collaging, and being out and about.
